Dear Family & Friends,

Since the spring of 2014, most of you have come to expect a yearly letter from my late father asking for you to support him on a bike ride to the ‘World's Greatest Finish Line'. For the past six years, my father Yosef proudly participated in Bike4Chai; a 180-mile bike ride through the states of NY, NJ, and PA raising over $5,000 annually for Chai Lifeline.

My father, Yosef, held a very special place in his heart for Chai Lifeline and its flagship programs, Camp Simcha and Camp Simcha Special, an oasis of fun, joy, and peace for children with illness and all that disease attracts. Camp Simcha offers children a chance to forget about illness and just be kids again!

Two weeks before Pesach this year our family suffered the sudden and tragic loss of our dear father to Covid-19. He passed away in his sleep at home just one month short of his 51st birthday.

Witnessing my father's enthusiasm and joy as he trained for the yearly ride, I anticipated the day that I would join him in this incredible mission. He trained hard and long in the months leading up to the ride and inspired even the most seasoned cyclists with his determination, often challenging them to short sprints or climbs and his ready smile made him popular with many of the riders. Our family, too, continually supported and cheered him on; our freezer door is plastered with Bike4Chai magnets and snapshots of his rides.

Inspired by my father's generosity and spirit, this year I will represent the Klein Family in memory of our much loved and sorely missed father and cycle with his rider number; 635.

On August 13, 2020, I will depart on the ride of my life with the goal of raising $10,000 for the children of Camp Simcha in honor of my father. I hope you will continue to support Chai Lifeline and help me reach my goal.

Please contribute by clicking on the donate button now. All donations are 100% tax-deductible.

Thank you for supporting me and in doing so helping the children and their families cope with the diagnosis, treatment, and aftermath of serious pediatric illness.

Best regards,
Shmuel Moishy Klein
