This bike ride is the primary fundraiser for Camp Simcha, the special needs camp, that our daughter Pearl attended for eight years. Although camp session was but two weeks, she looked forward to those two weeks the entire year. My goal to raise $25,000 will be enough to help campers like Pearl experience camp tuition free and create memories and friendships that can last a lifetime. Therefore, I will be partaking in a life-changing event: a 180-mile bike ride through NY, NJ and PA to raise much needed funds for this extraordinary cause. This is no ordinary ride; it’s a bicycling event ending at Camp Simcha. Camp Simcha is a remarkable overnight camp that provides sessions for children with disabilities as well as other sessions for seriously ill children, with a vacation from the day to day. The two weeks of camp restore the spirit and reignites love for a life thats worth living.

Life for a child with a physical disability or some other serious illness is a lot like what you imagine it would be. Chai Lifeline’s flagship programs, Camp Simcha and Camp Simcha Special, offer 430 children a chance to just be kids again and have a great time.
