This past year has been a year like no other in recent memory. These last few months have been tough for all of us. Everyone we know was affected in some way or another. Be it those who became ill & succumbed to the Covid-19 pandemic, or the children who have suffered with the disruption in their daily life with classes taught at home with very little structure & many summer camps being closed with no place to go. There is so much uncertainty, our children have all been emotionally impacted.
Let's not forgot about the even less fortunate children, those who Rachmana Litzlan are not well. The one thing that they look forward to every year is their bedrock of hope and support, Camp Simcha. It is the only place in the world that allows children who are not well to be in an atmosphere that lives up to it’s name. It provides the respite that allows them to temporarily forget their pain and suffering, their medical treatments, and often the sad reality of their diseases.
Thankfully, despite all odds, Camp Simcha came up with a solution and will be able to open this summer.
No expense has been spared to allow the campers of Camp Simcha to have an experience unlike any other.
This year as in years past I plan on participating in Bike4Chai. I understand that times are tough for everyone, and available funds need to be carefully allocated. Every penny counts. Please find a way to contribute to this great one of a kind cause and add some Simcha to the lives of those kids that desperately need it.
