The first summer of a new decade calls for action and therefore I will be partaking in a life-changing event, a 100 mile bikathon in honor of the children of Chai Lifeline. Last summer, I had the opportunity to participate in this amazing event for the first time and it was exhilarating. The finish line or more properly known as the "Worlds Greatest Finish Line" ended at Camp Simcha, a remarkable overnight camp that provides seriously ill children with a vacation from sickness, restoring their spirits and renewing their determination to fight.

Life for a child with cancer or other serious illness is grueling; Chai Lifeline’s flagship programs, Camp Simcha and Camp Simcha Special, offer 430 children a chance to forget about illness and just be kids again. Camp is an oasis of fun, of joy, and of peace for children experiencing dark and turbulent times. To learn more about Camp Simcha and Camp Simcha special, visit campsimcha.org.

My ride will take place on August 13. Last year I had the privilege of raising over $15,000. This year, my goal is to raise $20,000. Certainly, the circumstances are very different this year and I hope you will help me reach this goal. All donations are 100% tax-deductible.
