Riding in Memory of Chana Ahuva

This year I’m riding in memory of Chana Ahuva Toba Roth. She was the daughter of my childhood and lifelong friend Avi. Avi and I grew up together, we played together, we made trouble together, and have gone through life’s ups and downs together.

Avi’s daughter Chana Ahuva was born into this world and within minutes stole the hearts of her parents and practically everyone who had the pleasure of meeting her. Unfortunately, Chana Ahuva was also born with pediatric pulmonary hypertension, a disorder that would unpend her daily life but would not define her by any means. Chana Ahuva was remarkable in so many ways but her greatest gift to the world was her unwavering spirit. Despite all of her existential challenges Chana Ahuva never stopped fighting and living her life to the fullest. She never stopped smiling, even when all the odds were stacked against her. She was a ray of sunshine who touched the lives of so many. Sadly, Chana Ahuva was taken from us at the tender age of 5, but Chana Ahuva’s spirit lives on in all who knew her.

Chana Ahuva and her family were fortunate to have the love and support of the many volunteers and caseworkers who spent their days and nights helping her live her happiest life. Chai Lifeline was there for Chana Ahuva at all stages of her journey, during her happiest moments as well as her bleakest days. Chai Lifeline was there to bring joy and laughter to a young child at a time when it seemed almost impossible.

On August 13th I will ride 100 miles in memory of Chana Ahuva and her never-yielding spirit and courage. Your contributions will help Chai Lifeline continue this incredible work helping to bring smiles, joy, and laughter to children who need it most. Today, Chai Lifeline needs our support more than ever.

Please help me reach my goal of $5,000 to benefit Chai Lifeline.

Thank you for supporting me, and in doing so, helping children and their families cope with the diagnosis, treatment, and the aftermath of serious pediatric illness.

Best Regards,

Daniel
